When it comes to Zuffenhausen-based road sports cars, there are special places in history for models other than the ubiquitous Porsche 911 line. Many will give you a perfect example of the 356 series, but those looking for something a bit smaller might also consider the 944 range. Or maybe three – one to look at this example from 1988, two for spec. And three to make an offer.

The Porsche 944 was born in 1982 out of a love for the 924 architecture and with the goal of turning it into a mid-range, high-end alternative. They were available with a variety of options – coupe or convertible body styles, and either naturally aspirated or turbo engines.
